Installation of The Diesel Generating Set

Installation of the Diesel Generating Set requires our expertise in loading the set on the Transport, Moving safely to a new Location and Installation on the prepared site. Site preparation is very important and must be done with our expert guidance.

Earthing
For installation of Diesel Generating Set you normally require 2 Earths separated by 4 to 6 feet distance and minimum 65 Feet to 80 Feet dug deep into the ground. These earths are separate than your load earth if you have already installed in your premises. One earth is connected to the body of the Diesel Generating Set and another is connected to the Neutral terminal of the Alternator.

Load Support:
If you are installing on the Ground or Basement then you mut have the Access Points to install the Diesel Generating Set. At Ground Level Installations it must raised Platform from the normal Ground Level and no rain water must flow into the Generator Body. Direction of installation must be in alignment with your space available, there should be room to install and do maintenance of the Generator. All four sides of The Diesel Generating Set there should be  no wall  upto a distance of 3 feet for easy access to parts of the Diesel Generating Set.

On roof top installations you may require Crane for lifting the Generator to the Roof Top and install it on load bearing members or on a Cemented Platform. While creating the Load Bearing Members the Load must get transferred to the walls or if your installing on a platform make sure that it is properly levelled so that vibrations are minimum on the roof.

Cabling
Cabling is required from your Utility Mains to the Generator and back to your Load from the Generator. When Mains are Present the AMF Panel senses Mains Voltages and Switches the Load to Mains. In absence of Power Supply from the Utility Company the Generator Starts Automatically and load is switched from the Mains to the Generator.

It is always advisable to run the Generator on 70% of the Rated Capacity and avoid running under no load conditions. Prolonged running under no load conditions may damage your Generator and must be avoided.
